This 10-week model is a beginner's opportunity to address psychological distress and enhance coping skills. Each 50-minute group therapy session costs $95.40. Eligible participants can claim additional Medicare and Ultivate rebates. Ultivate's clinical range programs are cost-effective when compared to individual intervention. These are also safe, confidential, dynamic, action-focused and engaging. Group therapy involves one or more psychologists who lead a group of roughly six to ten participants. Typically, groups meet for an hour each week. Some individuals attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only. Considerable evidence demonstrates the clinical effectiveness of treating psychological distress in a group environment. During a group session, a client can be encouraged to share their experiences and understand themselves in a compassionate and therapeutic environment. ADDITIONAL PROGRAM COSTS This group program is only available for existing Ultivate clients. New clients must first participate in an intake appointment billed at $195.40 (50-minutes) before enrolment. You can book a new intake appointment on the website under Individual Services. Medicare Rebates These are also accessible if your GP has provided you with a current Mental Health Care Referral to use at Ultivate Psychological Health. You will receive approximately $ 23 for each group session you attend. Private Health Rebates These may be available depending on your level of cover. To find out, please call your health fund before committing to the program. Missed Group Sessions If a group session is missed due to other commitments, you can make an individual catch up session with one of the group facilitators. These sessions run for 50 minutes and will be charged at the Individual Session rate ($195.40).
